Greetings Waltzers,
Head south to Orem for a Utah County dance venue, the Center Stage Performing Arts Studio. Last
month, I received news about a dance there tomorrow night, Friday, June 20 from Center Stage
Ballroom Director Chris Williams. The dance, hosted by the Center Stage Adult Formation Team,
begins at 8 p.m., includes an hour of social dance instruction -- thank you, Chris -- and continues
until 11 p.m. Cost is only $10 per couple or $7 per person. Looking for an alternative; try Center
Stage. Address is 575 N. 1200 West, Orem
Center Stage recently had a very good write-up in the Salt Lake Tribune, "Utah dancers know the
steps to Hollywood, as the state has become a talent pipeline for reality TV," June 13, 2008,
www.sltrib.com/ci_9554868?IADID=Search-www.sltrib.com-www.sltrib.com.
Read the Tribune story. If, like me, you're addicted to "Dancing With The Stars," you'll see what
effect Center Stage has on dance in this country. Attend the February Salt Lake Symphony
Viennese Ball, and you'll also see what effect Utah County (and BYU) has on dance in this country.
Thank you Center Stage, and thank you Chris, for promoting dance in this state.
Lucy and I are off to San Diego tomorrow for the San Diego Young Artists Symphony's Annual
Viennese Ball. Perhaps we'll see you, and hopefully, Richard and Leah there.
