Greetings Waltzers,
This issue of the newsletter marks the beginning of the second year of the Salt Lake Vienna Waltz
Association. Thank you for your support and encouragement. We should all hope for an equally
successful year waltzing this year as last year.
Last month, Director of the San Francisco Waltzing Society Gail Enright and I offered some advice
about how singles, especially women, can attend a waltz ball and expect to find partners to dance
with. This month we solicit your advice.
Have you ever attended a waltz ball, or any dance for that matter, without a partner and were able
find partners to dance with the entire evening? Please send me your recipes for success, and I'll
publish them in next month's newsletter.
Also, SLVWA members Michael and Karen Horne asked me to remind you that renowned dance
instructor Ed Crane has three more Vienna Waltz classes scheduled at the
Murray Arts Center, 4868 S. State St., Murray, prior to the Salt Lake Symphony's Vienna Ball,
February 9. Prices for a three-week group class are $65 for couples, $35 for singles. Single group
lessons are $35 for couples, $19 for singles. Call the MAC at 801-269-1400 or 266-5999 for
